I cannot get into the Amigakit website. It keeps giving errors, is anyone else experiencing this?

I still can’t get to the AmigaKit website using my SAM460. I get the following error code:
Unable to open ‘https://America gamut.store/‘ Error 35: ssl connect error.

Even google can make no sense of the link you provided in your post. Amigakit USA site is closed last I checked. The UK site is still open. Those who say everything is OK have got to be using the UK site. |

| Was using Odyssey but noticed address was wrong. Now the site loads but isn’t rendered properly using Odyssey or Timberwolf! I can’t believe his Amiga site can’t work properly on any Amiga browsers. Works okay on my Mac and my iPhone. Last edited by sicky on 22-Jan-2019 at 09:56 PM. I think the problem is probably that you're running out of RAM, it's been a while since I visited Amigakit so I'd not seen the new design, but it is a memory hog. it's downloading over 30mb of data for the main page alone, most of which is images, as they're jpg's it will take enormouse amounts of ram to decode and store the 24bit images.
loading it in IBbrowse gives me 36,466,670 bytes of temporary fles in T: (inc. the meg or so AW uses) as they're jpg those files are compressed. it could take 10 times that of ram to hold the uncompressed images, maybe 300mb+.
NOT GOOD AMIGAKIT!
Edit:
There's some images there that are over a mb, compact flash, a clock. micro usb to ide thing, a power cable with a switch.
using a quick load&save in cybershow I converted the 1,735,418 byte monster flash/floppy jpg down to 71,222 bytes
I think some compression is needed on the images used on the site just to increase the loading speed. Last edited by Severin on 22-Jan-2019 at 11:28 PM.

It renders fine in NetSurf
Also when I log into here using Odyssey it doesnt show that I'm logged in no matter how mant times I try. Using Timberwolf and NetSurf it works fine!

Try searching for amigakit odyssey's cookies window. It might be you have a screwed up cookie and deleting any for amigakit should solve that problem. _________________ OS4 Rocks X1000 beta tester, Sam440 Flex (733)
