Most problems I've found of this nature are PSU related. A friend with a Sam found his board just went dead. Was a recent purchase off ACube. It was PSU.
I took my AmigaOne XE to an Amiga meeting and it just dropped dead in front of me. Ping. Everything off. Turned out to be PSU just died. Coincidently enough someone had a spare PSU of the same exact model I was using. Might explain why I got it for free.
Just recently a friends PC went dead. He didn't know if it was the board or CPU and couldn't find anyone in a shop to test. Strangely, though the CPU and board is obsolete, he was told it couldn't go into a new case. Apparently the ATX standard is now obsolete. I didn't know this. After all this hoohah it was simple. PSU. It's beautiful. I'd love to play GeoGuessr at that location.

What sort of person lays carpet inside a computer case? That will keep the heat in! Some people are clueless. |
