Hi All, I am trying to run a number of games with WHDLoad on my A1200.
But I get the same error message with each one, "Can't allocate ExpMem.
If someone is aware of this issue and could help me it would be much
appreciate.

@Punkyclown

Do you have any Fast RAM (beyond stock 2 MB Chip RAM)? There is an option in WHDLoad to force Chip RAM only use, but it may be slow for games requiring Fast RAM.

@Punkyclown

Why not buy some RAM card (or cheap CPU card like ACA)?

You may add ExpChip in the tooltypes of the game icon (in icon information).

@Punkyclown

Many games require more ram than a stock A1200 will have (especially if you have the PRELOAD option enabled in the tooltype of the game you are trying to play).

Most games with PRELOAD enabled will require several megabytes of fastmem as well as their usual chipram requirements.

Right click on the icon of the game you are launching and select "info" and see in PRELOAD is enabled. If it is, try editing it to say (PRELOAD) and saving that - this will disable preloading of the game which speeds up loading times, but also increases ram use/requirements significantly.

Other than that, your only option is to find a ram expansion or accelerator card with ram to boost your memory (ideally you would want at least 8-16 MB as some games need 4MB fast memory with preload enabled - and this would be on top of whatever is used by your workbench setup).

For example:
