Hi all,

Over the last few weeks, I have been trying to find an easy to use program to add GUI to my ARexx scripts. I found two old programs that provide nice results; MicroRexx and RexxBGUI.library. With MicroRexx, I can specify which font I want to use. I cannot find such an option in the document that comes with RexxBGUI.library. However, the document is text file containing alot of info.

I was wondering if any of you have experience with rexxBGUI.library or bgui.library and might know if it is possible to specify which font you want to use in a window. I assume this would be for all text in the window, including menus.

I've also looked at Triton, but existing documentation is in German.

I've also looked a bit at RxMUI, but have not tried any programming with it yet.

Please note that I am not an experienced programmer, just learning as I go with ARexx.

A long time ago, I used MicroRexx and AWNPipe with some of my ARexx programs. I haven't
gone through the documents for AWNPipe. I found it was a bit beyond my understanding at the time.

@redfox

rexxBGUI.library doesn't have such a function. But there is a SetFont() function in rexxarplib.library that may work. Good luck

You might also find ProAction (by BroadBlues) useful; with that, you can do anything in terms of ReAction GUIs from ARexx (or Python or ...) that you'd normally have to do from C.

There is good documentation and some examples, also in ARexx.

Find it here: http://os4depot.net/index.php?function=showfile&file=library/reaction/proaction.lha

Best regards,

Niels

Might be worth looking at rxMUI too, which is the same but for MUI. http://alfie.altervista.org/rxmui/

@alpyre

Thanks for your reply. None of the examples in the rexxarplib.library package worked for me.

I will have to investigate further if I want to go this route.
