A few days ago I made a short post to my blog asking for opinions / approaches people take on the issue of failing capacitors, heading them off (or not), etc. It got some exposure yesterday and has some excellent feedback in the comments.

I am posting here hoping that some of you who have strong opinions on how to go (replace preventively, wait for failure, etc.) could add those to the comments on the blog post, so it will serve as a good go-to for people wondering which way to go on this issue.

Thanks. I hope folks find it useful.
