@kolla

Well, each V4 sold on the A34 was bundled with a legit 3.1 ROM licence. I personnaly pasted with TuKo a sticker licence on each case. We didn't bundled any operating system in the package, the user has to provide his own.
Therefore, I see no point for the copyright holders to "give a damn".

Great - perhaps we all should be proficient in making inquiries rather than assumptions ... or accusations.

@guibrush

Then you have no problem telling from whom you licensed the legit 3.1 ROMs?

If there was no distribution of OS, then perhaps you should correct "Lord A1k" on your very own forum, who says he ended up with empty CF card, because "all other with Coffin R55 was selling out" - it _really_ gives a certain impression.

EDIT: As does "Tim D":

"where did you get coffin R55?"
"It came with my V4"

Neither party has exhausted funding opportunities

but more importantly, funding is -not- the current thrust of any of the parties involved.

This -is-

Quote:
The Parties further anticipate rescheduling depositions after the new year, but are
optimistic they can achieve an agreement to settle before then.

Therefore, I do not believe what you are writing about is any more than a distraction for all parties.

The community at large clearly has no issues ignoring copyrights and licenses, distributing the IP of "the parties". The only little distraction here, is the legal circus, but it doesn't really affect anyone other than "the parties".

Sure, each V4 sold at the A34 has an official Cloanto license bundled. Each purchaser can easily control that just by looking under the V4.

Thanks for the links, I took contact with Lord A1k and Tim D.

@kolla

Totally agree many folks seem far too complacent about respecting intellectual property, copyright, etc.

A nice trifecta of links! Thanks.

Let me rephrase that: Stephen's video was good. One out of three is better than none.

Yeah, I'm sure A-EON are in the final stages of signing off the box artwork for the Tower57 exclusive Tabor bundle as we speak! It MUST be the case that the sound driver was secretly finished in early October but it was decided that Amigans can't cope with updates so a leaked ETA of "When it's Done! " was released instead.

In the mean time everyone and their dog has allocated their Tabor fund money to the Vampire V4 Standalone or spent the money on recapping their Classics etc.

Own goal A-EON IMHO. I suggest placing your pre-order on a recapping scheme for your future Tabor now and A-EON will recap your Tabor board currently sitting at AmigaKit prior to shipping

A-EON: "WE'LL SELL YOU TABOR A1222s WHEN WE'RE READY & NOT A MOMENT SOONER!! DON"T EVEN ASK US ABOUT IT UNTIL THEN OR WE'LL FORCE YOU TO BUY 'FUTURE AMIGA' MAGAZINE!!!!"

Was there any additional information provided at Amiga 34 other than Trevor standing in front of the Early Adopter slide?

@bison

Since Trevor has mentioned it often previously and since Costel did say on OS4welt that Hyperion's side was done...
Don't bother checking for the links I've given unless you are a member. This portion of OS4welt which reported the above, is now -not- readable by non members.

I would think the topic of the ISO was brought up again at the show. It always is. People are confusing the delay over drivers with the delay over the ISO, imo.

What's the ISO? A DVD Disc image of a Tabor version of 'OS 4.1 Pre-release not quite ready beta - please buy Enhancer so that it's not quite so ropey'?

Is that what you mean?
