Where do you change the default documents drawer in Wordworth?

Hello.

I've used Wordworth [7] for years but always had this problem of changing the default documents drawer. The Files.guide makes a reference to changing the default documents drawer from the "Change Settings..." menu item but then says nothing more.

I've gone through the settings and there is nothing there! The closest is the template directory. But that is not the same thing.

The Wordworth guide was always annoying as the index wasn't an index at all but a list of menu items that aren't even in alphabetical order. That's not the same thing as an index. Seems who ever wrote the guide didn't finish it or check what it said. Guides also cannot be searched in via standard means and this issue is still not fixed years later.

Now Wordworth is able to store the documents drawer in its settings. It does know when I load up a document. Where I get stuck is when playing a macro. Because it then tries to open up the document drawer from my other AmigaOne path which is obsolete. But I can't change it! I correct the path. But when I load it up again straight away it has changed the path back! Argh! So annoying.

Is there anywhere in Wordworth to change the default documents drawer? They must have hid it well because it alludes me. I don't want to hack the settings files but I don't see any other way. Ridiculous! How did we put up with this crap back in the day?

@Hypex

IN my settings file there is only a reference to the templates Work:Wordworth7/Documents/Templates/

The default documents drawer (ie the one that opens when I select open from the menu from an empty document) is work:Wordworth7/Documents, is not mentioned in the prefs file. That makes me think the default is PROGDIR:Documents or some equivalent.

oh wait hang on there's tooltypes....

LANGUAGE=english
CLIPART=Work:Wordworth7/ClipArt
DOCS=work:Wordworth7/Documents
TABLES=work:TurboCalc
PICASSO=TRUE

@broadblues

Thanks for your input. Those damned tool tool types. I forgot about those. Ok I checked mine and they all point to my local path where they should, so all good there. My ones are:

LANGUAGE=english
CLIPART=Work:Applications/Wordworth7/ClipArt
DOCS=Work:Applications/Wordworth7/Documents
TABLES=Work:Accounting/TurboCalc/Sheets
PICASSO=TRUE

I went through the docs and could see no mention of tool types. Seven versions and they didn't think to mention it? Which is strange as I read about the PICASSO tool type somewhere. Could have been a paper manual. But I installed WW7 off a CD so that should be all complete.

@Hypex

I think the PICASSO tooltype was new in the update version (7.1?) and documented in the readme of that.

Best regards,

Niels
