Poll : What's stopping ACube from selling their Amiga computers?
They are probably out of components vital for manufacturing and busy sourcing replacements
They are likely planning for a brand new, yet un-announced system
Some other reason

So if we all attended Amiwest we'd be filled with unrestrained optimism for the AmigaOne project?! The Tabor still isn't out until at least Q2 2020 (too late to fend off Vampire sales and too late for those on the fence about the Checkmate Plus case) whatever hype A-EON feeds you about teams kernels and future talk!

Yes, but next year we will get new team's, and better lawsuits and then we should be alot more optimistic about it all.

Best to quit and start using Linux / MacOSX / Windows, if your not interested in AmigaOS, I think.

Classic Amiga / AROS / MorphOS is not a option becouse it also has most of the issues AmigaOS has sooo... Lack of developers, lack of funding, lack of software, lack of security, and lack of everything else you can't find on this kind of operating systems, old software that never get updated, bug that never get fixed, and new standards that will never be supported, and closed minded people who will never share their work. peaple spend more time writing crap on forums, insted of doing something useful with there time.

@NutsAboutAmiga

I hope you had a nice day today

or the november blues?

it is a hobby... Amiga will never become a mainstream platform again

we should enjoy what is there. If we of course always compare it with the big platforms we will never be happy

@Comi

Yes, because we the users should stump up the money 5 to 6 years ahead of actually being able to use the machine with AmigaOS! It makes the 3-6 month wait for a Checkmate A1500 Plus case seem amazingly soon! And the A.L.I.C.E. laptop look like the only viable solution for an Amiga laptop.

The problem is the existence of the laptop then only makes it a release candidate for AmigaOS (software development won't start until the hardware exists I assume) but in 2 years the landscape may look completely different. Do you get ANY kind of guarantee of product for your donation? A first offer of buying a machine from the first batch? Or is this just to deliver an Open Source proof of concept to the world and donors simply join the queue like everyone else?
