Years ago, I made an ARexx program to list the emails in my mailbox. It used a console window to display the list and I selected an email by typing the email item number shown in the list.
During the spring of this year, I learned how to display a list of emails in a listview using ARexx and RxMUI. My Listmail subroutine inserts entries at the bottom of the list and they appear in the listview gadget in my Listmail window. This allows me to choose an email by clicking on the desired entry in the Listmail window.
I am attempting to duplicate this using ProAction to create Reaction windows, but I can't figure out how to add the text into the listbrowser. So far I have a window with a listbrowser gadget.
I get totally confused jumping between the ProAction documentation and SDK documentation.
Unfortunately, the examples show radio buttons and other stuff I don't need.
I simply want to display a list and click on the desired entry to select an email.
Do I use ALLOCLISTBROWSERODE and ADDTAIL ?
Or ADDLISTBROWSERNODE ?
Any help would be apprecisted.

Re: How do I add text to a Listview using ProAction? Posted on 13-Nov-2019 6:35:49
Please note that I have already created a Mailreader program using ARexx and ProAction. This program opens a window with buttons and a text editor gadget to display the selected email.
However, I am currently using my RxMUI Listmail window while I try to figure out how to use ProAction to list my emails.

Please note, my email programs are very simple. Sendmail, Listmail and Mailreader. Senmail uses a console window to interact with the user. Listmail uses RxMUI to create a list of emails in my mailbox. Mailreader (MUI version) uses RxMUI to display the selected email. Mailreader (Reaction version) uses ProAction to display the selected email. Both versions of the Mailreader include control buttons. The MUI version uses images for buttons.
