I have this Amiga A1200 with every upgrade imaginable with an Extron unit that has a 9pin input. That cable fell part. I need to replace it. I just need to get any cable on any monitor to display the OS so I can take photo's to sell this computer. I do have a 23pin to 15pin adapter. Its the model with the side cut off from a 25pin adapter.

I also have a Sony PVM-14P2U professional broadcast monitor. The best you could buy in the early 2000s. But its has a 15 Pin VGA input. ALso has BNC componant input which I do have a 15pin VGA to Componant cable for.

Coudlnt I just buy a 15pin to 15pin VGA cable or cross overcable and hook it up to that sony monitor? Using that 23pin adapter?

I also have a dozen modern LCD monitors and some have VGA inputs...

What would be the best and cheapest solution to boot up the OS on a screen?

@StylinLP38

Do you have either an old CRT TV - use composite out to aerial in or a modern flat panel LCD TV with a heap of different inputs -use same cable.

That would be your easiest way to display the OS.

This is because the Amiga uses 15KHz modes not the 30 KHz modes the monitor uses
