I was just joking.

Elite Dangerous looks like a treat and the macOS version got withdrawn.

ED while looking pretty, has been progressively getting worse with each update (from what I have both read and been told by those who own it).

It is also very very grindy. I had been tempted many times to buy a copy when it was on sale, but have resisted so far.

The basics are quite fun! A bit like MegaTraveller on the Amiga! In MegaTraveller I persevered until I got the upgraded jump drive in order to progress with the mission but lost interest once I got the nice bit of kit! In ED the achievement of buying cargo taking off, flying to a destination, gaining permission to land, selling cargo and starting again is ok for a couple of evenings but is no way of life

@Thread

I completed this awesome game today on easy with my two kids; 3 and 6 years old! Great lockdown fun and it's been great for our little boy of 3 to get a bit of boisterousness out without resorting to actually hitting his sister. Why not get it all out fighting the hoards of Wood Oak City instead?

A highlight is fighting a dead ringer for Freddie Mercury at the back of the Biker's Bar! Great great game! Where's the Amiga version? For that it would take SEGA ages (and it would require the Tabor to be actually released this year so we can afford to play an Amiga version ).

I guess that's why South Wales has had major Covid-19 outbreaks if you didn't even realise that large areas of the UK have had to self isolate and keep social distancing measures for the last 3 months (i.e. 'lockdown')?!

It's the opposite of charging into Wood Oak City with 4 mates to 'bust some chops' though I guess Newport is like that on a Saturday night whether there's a virus on or not .

@BigD

I was half joking since I haven't stopped working and my job can't adequately be performed from home.

Smilies always help convey sarcasm I find I'm glad that you've still got your job. I wouldn't complain if I was you as many people have lost their jobs and we're not out of the woods yet with this weak economy!
