@thread

Now forum.amiga.org has an invalid security certificate. The saga continues...

Update: Now it's working. That was quick.

Update on the update: Now it's not...

Yes it is a bit of a shame amigaworld and amiga.org in the last 3 years does feel a bit quieter, I think there many reason.

I have really seen a growth of Facebook Amiga Groups in that time and it also feel like the internet world is moving away from forums, I dont see as many site really focus around them any more or at least not as much as I use to.

God, I hope not. That, and most multimedia, I refuse to "join". Remind me too much of Microsoft .. they are NOT your friend. Don't drink the elixir.

@amigang

I agree. Even email is being replaced to a certain extent by Facebook Messenger! I remember trying to organise my Amiga's recapping and I had to do everything via the App as it was the engineer's preference! It felt very unprofessional to me but that is the way we are headed as a society especially post pandemic.

We are told to rate every transaction and every website or online experience we ever come across now so that Big Brother can work out our profile and preferences! I remember seeing a 'millennial' waiting for Feeder to come on stage at a gig a couple of years ago and I saw her like or not like hundreds of feeds that her smart phone was feeding to her!! Is that classed as a hobby now do you think? Time wasting wise it should be!

Even the Back to the Future II vision of video calls being ubiquitous has now come true although 5 years late! Heck even my Church's AGM is being held on Zoom this month!

Friend BigD,

just imagine if Jesus our Lord and Savior and Master of the Seas himself "zoombombed", as the "netizens" say nowadays, your meeting!

Wouldn't that be fabulous?

Go in peace,

Are we to take it that the Mods or whoever has no interest in resolving this problem?

@clint

Nearly two years now and still not resolved.

Feature:
Online Threat Prevention

firefox.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an unmatching security certificate to www.amigaworld.net. We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since the used certificate was issued for a different web address than the targeted one.
Add to exceptions

@clint

no problem here, maybe you need to update your web browser, check that you don’t have any spyware / proxy serves installed.

@clint

There's nothing wrong with the certificate. Just browse to https://amigaworld.net without the www. Someone ought to remove the www DNS record or add a subject alternative name to the certificate, but neither are required.
