I have recently got my 2500 out of mothballs in an attempt to do something different during the lock down. Whilst it boots with the hard drive and all the normal stuff happens, both Floppy drives are shown as DF0:???? and DF1:???? I have pulled them down and cleaned everything but they were pretty well pristine as the computer was stored in its original packaging and that is pretty well dust proof as well as moisture resistant.
One drive being dodgy, maybe, but both, that sounds very strange indeed. I have checked the cabling and it is as it should be, so I am somewhat mystified. Any ideas etc much appreciated.

@Exfso

make sure the all the chips on the motherboard are in the sockets just give them a push into socket
that most likly to be the problem also check the battery are, if been leaking , remove battery clean area
