Yep. I too have received the link via email several days ago and downloaded the epub file. Now I just need to find some time to read it.

Heh, the title couldn't be more apt for a book detailing the Amiga.
Deliberate and tongue in cheek, or just an amusing coincidence?

@agami

I may have missed it - but when is the public release? I would like to buy the ebook-version.

Received my book in the mail today (well yesterday because it is passed midnight now).
True to their words they sent them to Australia first.
Woot! It is looking well organised. Am looking forward to reading the whole thing!

I received and read Vultures to Vampires Vol 1. This is a great book and I recommend everyone buy it. You can tell a lot of hard work and passion went into the writing of this volume for Amiga fans everywhere. I’m excited for the release of Vultures to Vampires Vol 2.

@DiscreetFX

Same here. I'm actually far more interested in the second volume than the first since most of the material in the first volume I had already read in Trevor's columns in Amiga Future in previous years. The good news is that David posted an update to the Kickstarter project over a month ago indicating that he knew that the goal wouldn't be reached, but they were proceeding in any case.

Somewhat of a Freudian slip with having Trevor involved in a book called, From Vultures To Vampires".

Most honest thing Ive seen in the Amiga world for a while, even if it wasn't deliberate.
Or is David openly mocking him without him realizing?
I kind of hope so.

@eliyahu

The same here too. I did fund the book originally mostly for this latest long period in the Amiga world, when NG machines really got somewhere. I've read too much now about the Commodore times in several books and that's all covered by now, but would be really nice to get history stored on at least one book about these later times. We've been here all the years, we're still here, it deserves to be on pages.

@jPV

Yeah, in the first book things start to be intersting to read somewhere from the middle of the book, when all things about modern NG starts to be discussed. And what i more intersting in second book too.

When i talked to David some weeks ago, he says that second book probabaly will be ready around Mart. So seems soon enough.

Any product,
story,
sentence that starts with "Trevor" can't possibly relate to commercial success.

When you typed "Trevor" and then "success", the spell checker should have suggested
maybe you wanted to type...

- quaffing pints of blood
- scavenging for rotten corpses
- feasting on mounds of wet trash
- rivulets of malodorous ichor running from mouths full of pointy teeth
