I haven't rewatched the videos to see what was said but there seems to have been some misunderstanding along the way. Only OctaMEDPlayer was ever ported and Amigakit posted about that 4 days later.

Discussion over at Amigans in the past year suggests that none of the developers that work with Amigakit/A-EON want to tackle the project.
