I noticed that Agony source is now available, anyone working on making it more system friendly or adding support for Vampire?

@NutsAboutAmiga

System friendly? Why? Works good under emulation.

However, it may be well useable as an inspiration for other game developers for A500.

@pavlor

Well you have point, but on the other hand its nice to be able to install a game the correct way.

And EUAE is busy loops, sets the computer on holt, not saying I’m doing lot useful stuff in the background, but hey Its nice to take advantage of hardware you have.

@MEGA_RJ_MICAL

Just curious, but why are you such a cunt towards Amidark?
Did the guy kill your puppy and laugh or something?

Only an asshole would antagonize someone based on what they choose to do with their free time. Something that has ZERO baring on your life at that.

I've seen some half assed justifications, but theyre bullshit reasons. Something you know as well as I do.

Is there a reason, or do you just have no life or your own and try to fill a void by being a cunt towards strangers for no reason?

To each their own, Im just morbidly curious as to why an adult would behave in such a way.

This quickly turned ugly - but then again, perhaps that's what to expect from a mob that favors metal banging hacks over system friendly software, emulation over real hardware and interjections over proper English.

Clearly, this isn't comp.sys.amiga, the year isn't 1994 and enemies loom these toxic waters.

@Petah

Not a single person suggested they prefer "metal banging hacks over system friendly software".

Preferences or arguments about that simply didnt happen.

Not a single person suggested a preference about anything.

As for "proper" English.... err,.... sure bloke.
People with a good command over the English language can, and do choose to use bastardisations deliberately.

But its not like you didn't know this anyway.

Makes your post freaking weird.

friend fishy_fish,
I find it hard to reply to such an adversarial post.

Didn't you, by the way, leave the forums?, none the less with an official announcement to make the event all the more solemn and final!

I am aghast that I managed to make you oh so irate with just a couple lines of code. An innocent joke, friend fishy. Nothing as offensive and unfounded as, say, accusing someone of "having no life".

Take a breath with me,

as the conscious trolling of the MEGA_RJ_MICALs of this world, is meant to balance out the inconscious trolling of the AmiDarks and their ludicrous self aggrandizing and embarrassing escapades in rattling tin cups.

Vast amounts of peace and warmth to you and your loved ones,
from
MEGA_RJ_MICAL.

Isn't the Vampire supposed to be the most compatible expansion ever made? So why would support need to be added to the game?

@NutsAboutAmiga

The last time I looked at Agony it looked like a real Amiga game. So by the time it loads there is no system to be friendly to. I'd be interested in an OS4 port though.

I don't know what Vampire support it would need. Does it break on the Vampire? Perhaps the Vampire could do with an early coffin wakeup menu to disable SAGA.

I do wonder if anyone is working on finding any cheats in the source code.

No I don’t think that’s what their marketing department has claimed. Is was supposed be what AAA was going to be. And they have advertised and talked about improvements over original design.
in Graphics + Sound + disk speed and so on.

So what I was thinking about is Game that uses 128Mb of ram and 1080p AGA video mode, 16 audio channels with up sampled remastered samples 16bit samples.
And music enhanced and remixed by helge kvalheim

Friend Templario!

It appears that it doesn't take much to make Fishy_Fish nervous, if some mockup code can send him into a mild breakdown

On the other hand, why don't YOU take on the task of porting Agony?
Oh, I can picture it already!

The owl would probably sport a set of female breasts, and "Agony" would become a reference to some bondage/sado-maso practice bonus stage.
Oh, you naughty naughty Morguesoft!

Oh, that's exactly what they've been claiming.

Well, in that case the source isn't of much use as you'd have to code the game from scratch anyway.

You are right, friend Cool_amigaN,
and tempted am I! But no, we shan't subside to the lure of ignorance.

Let's join hands and unite in countertrolling.
We're ushering into a new age of time wasting, and this is only the beginning!

@Rose

I never called him disabled, you did, many people like that he is making music.
I think he got real guts believing in himself.

@pavlor

If the OS functions were as fast as games routines that push the Amiga by banging the HW nobody would have hit the HW directly. The OS Is more suited for games that do not push a lot of objects on screen. (Point and click etc.)
