@Lou

Good news. It is a verry good en cheap way to use classic Amiga software.
I have the 3b plus and still very happy with my amiga Pi.

Only 8 gig?
Come back to me when they make a Pi with enough memory to run Amiga software.

Seems like the easiest way to install Amiberry.

@kolla

If that's so, why the need of any mode higher than 32bit?

Isn't 32bit enough to support Amiga fully?

Could you list Amiga features which become enabled on 64bit mode?

@DiskDoctor

The emulator is not an Amiga program, it’s a native Linux program and when the OS goes 64bit, so should the emulator.

@kolla

That was my point exactly.

To rephrase it - what’s in it for me?

It has done so since at least the 6th Feb.

The GUI is horrid though, I'd like a proper GTK configuration window, can't figure out easily how to operate this and it never remembered my settings so I gave up with it.

@DiskDoctor

If you don't grasp what the point of going 64bit is, then you are free to remain on 32bit.

@DiskDoctor

After you’re done playing with your Amiberries and get bored find out why this Amiga is smiling from ear to ear.

That’s right she just received her life sized MEGA doll with custom T-Shirt. Can you guess which one it is out of these three? Hint Scottish.

@thread

There are times when I think there are only about four of us, and we're all unwittingly participating in a Turing test. (Running on an Amiga, of course.)

@kolla

I can see you did not get my question entirely.

Amiberry means Amiga emulation via UAE on Raspberry.

You say it attained 64-bit support (I presume).

I stubbornly ask then, WHAT does this have to do with Amiga or Amiga emulation?

I still miss your clarification here.

Ok, you got me - UAE as a 64bit binary is just utterly useless.

@kolla

If you did mention ONE single application here, I would thank you honestly, but until then, I consider this a non-Amiga piece of news.

I posted this under the EMULATION forum/thread category.
Hence it's relevant to that. All talk of applications is irrelevant.
