Pitching a proposition usually involves some kind of explanation letting people know why they should act in a certain way. In this particular instance, it may be a good idea to explain what "the PCB" is, and how it relates to the Amiga platform.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@Petah

You're right, petah. I'm lazy, sometimes.

Here's the lonk to the original thread:

This is something a interested reader might do by himself, don't you think?

@AmigaBlitter

Great. Two more weeks and then I can finally stop hearing about it.

@AmigaBlitter

Will the future PPC laptop beat the Tabor to a mass market release do you think? I guess the AmigaOS drivers WILL be completed first for the Tabor but the availability of the hardware seems a point of contention even now the Early Adopters are chomping at the bit!

@BigD

As far as I know there is no AmigaOS planed for the laptop.

With new laptop on market maybe MorphOS or AmigaOS is ported, but there is no promise from anyone.

I’m only supporting this because I like PowerPC, and it won’t be too bad to have PowerPC Linux laptop.

@NutsAboutAmiga

There is also no guarantee that the Tabor will be available this side of the rapture

... and with ACube involved then surely there is a fairly high possibility of Hyperion being interested? They did port AmigaOS to the Sam machines after all!

@BigD

Acube-systems did write some of the drivers for the Sam440/Sam460 computers.

Now most of what is need is owned by Trever, his pet project the ExecSG Team.
I bet they prioritizing stuff that can give Trever back some of investment (losses).

@BigD

I have no doubt, if ACube is involved (..and yes, ACube is involved) there'll be Hyperion OS4.2 release for new ppc laptop.
Less probably even a MOS release if there will be some requests.
