Today's (Sep 3) Astronomy Picture of the Day shows a huge halo around the Andromeda galaxy. The image was the work of "Project AMIGA (Absorption Map of Ionized Gas in Andromeda)"

Just FYI… And sort of fun.

Does that mean we can now call Andromeda the "Boing" Galaxy? I guess we'll know in about 4.5 billion years. :D
