| Hi Folks,
Due to a forced move I lost much of my Amiga gear. I need new KB's for my A2000 & A4000T. I found a nice Cherry KB W/104 Keys for a PC. Question is I can't remember If I can Make the Windows keys Amiga keys or not, is that possible?
Chris
The Amiga Keyboard situation is ridiculous. Last edited by QuikSanz on 05-Nov-2020 at 04:42 PM.

Lyra 3 BigBox with Lyra3tool should do what you want. |

| @Rose,
No mention of "Lyra3tool" but it looks ok as long as it remaps correctly. Thank you.

It's Thomas Richter's software to remap the keys. I think it's freely available.Last edited by BigD on 06-Nov-2020 at 01:12 PM.

I agree. Even a USB Amiga keyboard has yet to be invented. All we've seen is expensive knock offs and Kickstarters using a PC board as a base and don't even have an Amiga key layout! How hard can this be? I don't know how the price can bloat when it uses a PC keyboard and isn't built from the ground up.
What they need to do is use a Mac keyboard as a reference board. It's closer matched to the Amiga layout. And the end result is going to be expensive anyway. Of course, what's really needed is a cheap way of printing keys and/or keycaps. And then they need to modify the firmware to produce the correct codes.
And this isnt even a real modern Amiga keyboard that can plug into an Amiga yet! |

In thinning out my Amiga collection, I have ended up with extra A2000, A3000 keyboards, and no Amiga to match them up to. So, if you want an original Amiga keyboard, and not a brand new USB keyboard and adapter setup, I can ship you one of my extra keyboards for the price of shipping plus, let's say $15, for my trouble.
Let me know if you want one, and which Amiga keyboard style you want. I think I also have an A2000 keyboard that is missing a couple key caps that you can have for just the shipping price alone, if you have a way to get the missing key caps. _________________ Amiga! Hey man, I would be interested to have an original Amiga keyboard for my MorphOS needs :P Perhaps I can find a way to set it up via a usb dongle. At least it worth the try I think. Let me know which model would you propose. I will sent you a pm as well :) _________________
