Hi,

in case someone is interested in a low-cost variant of the VIM3-Pro ARM Board, we are currently preparing a production run.
If you like you can jump on.

We stripped down things like IR, Gyrosensor, Wifi/BT as we believe we all own USB-dongles in case we need this. Also we removed the EMMC chip and the M2 Key and offer only TF-Card slot .. again because it costs less and everyone is used to micoSD cards with different OSes on it.

The main reason for these cost reduced on power consumption reduced (less draws less) is the good CPU mining Hash/ Watt ratio.

Anyway the boards are still what they are .. mini-pc's.

The difference from our Version to the stock Vim3 PRO 4GB DDR4 version:

A. top of the Board
WIFI & Bluetooth Module - No
Antennas for WiFi and Bluetooth - No
IR receiver - No
GPIO 2×20 Pins - No
USB-A - NO 1
Connectors for RTC Battery - No
B. Back side of the board
30 pin FPC Cable for display - No
30 pin FPC Cable for camera - No
10 pin FPC Cable for Touch panel - No
M.2 Key for SSD - No
Wake on Lan Function - No
GPIO Extension Chipset - No
Gsensor - No

This way we are able to put the price way down from 156€ in germany incl. vat to ~95€ incl. VAT

If you are interested the boards are also available at eBay for pre-ordering.
The Production and shipping from Khadas to us will be around 35 days. Please keep this in mind.
Its a "just for us" production run and i am not sure if this will be repeated anytime soon.

@phoenixkonsole

Just a heads up, the industry is switching to RISC v open hardware and is in high demand.

@asymetrix
Thanks but its far off from Memory requirements. It seems they support only 256MB RAM

and this is just expensive https://www.crowdsupply.com/sifive/hifive-unmatched

But i keep an eye on this : )
Thank you
