Okay, maybe I'm not technically a "new user" since I registered thirteen years ago! I needed help with one technical question, found it elsewhere, and shortly thereafter retired my classic A3000 to the garage after sixteen years of faithful service.
Earlier tonight I was web browsing after looking up info about WordPerfect and stumbled across another Amiga site (amigalove.com). I registered there, but while looking up to see if I had any saved passwords found my login for this site. It was still active!
So now I'm back. While I think my classic hardware has been sitting too long to be saved, I still do have my last backup on a PC USB external drive. I'm thinking I'd like to crack it open with the help of one of the emulators available today. Any pointers?
Anyhow, good to see you again. I'll be back! (Hopefully sooner than 13 years!)
@ehbowen Welcome again! The best option in emulator is WinUAE: https://www.winuae.net/ But you need the roms and one floppy disk image to star up and connect your external hard disk, there are people that can help you in these steps.

I have been using AmiKit for years and happy with it. There is a free version and a paid version. check it here : https://www.amikit.amiga.sk but you still need Winuae and roms to get it working Have fun !

Nobody puts baby in the corner... Get the A3000 back out the gargage and get it recapped and then enjoy it again with some of the new addtions that have come out whilst you have been away.
