Hi,

Which PCI(e)-SATA adapter is known to work with the X5000?
The 2 ports available on the board itself I find a bit meagre.

Thhanks in advance.

@OldFart

PCI is standard so I guess as long as it has driver and is identified, it should work, have look in kickstart drawer, you should find some SIL drivers there.

More specifically, there are drivers for SATA cards with the chipsets SiI3112, SiI3114, and SiI3512.

Best regards,

Niels

@OldFart

I've been looking for some additional hardware too, in sata i found a renkforce sil 3114 card it's a 0+10
Meaning 0 esata but 10 internal sata ports somewhat expensive roughly 100£/€, renkforce is a german manufacturer of diverse hardware like, usb cards, sata cards scsi cards etc.

If anyone has used it (or same card but different manufacturer) how does it work with the x5000
