Hi there!

I do have a few new year's resolutions this year and as always, most (!!) are Amiga-related!

What I managed to achieve in 2020:

- retrieve my Vampire V4 Standalone (sold one on December 2019 cuz I needed some cash)
- get ALL Amiga systems on V4SA (except for EmuTOS), eventually all managed by V4 Boot Loader V2.4
- launch my Amiga/Retro room, dedicated especially to Amiga HW.
- get myself a copy of CubicIDE

In 2021, I plan to:

- get a classic amiga (CDTV)
- get a PPC Amiga (either Sam460cr or Tabor, which comes first)
- fix the code and compile (ie. make run) an Atari 800 emulator on V4SA, taken from Aminet
- start developing some piece of software, for OS3.1 and possibly more

What's your resolutions related to Amiga?

@DiskDoctor

Resolution: Spend less time wishing and more time doing: developing Hollywood applications and applets.

Whoops, there goes my forum time, see ya!

Try and make a few more and better Amiga YouTube videos for my channel, AmigaNG.

I’m think about buying a pi400 (currently in a ebay biding war just to see if I can get it a bit cheaper :) ) if I get one I will be playing around with the Amiga emulated setup for that system.

I want to make a game or app this year for Amiga.

I want to replay all the space quest series, and maybe Simon the sorcerer its been too long since I played a good point and click adventure.

And hopefully attend an Amiga event..?

- helping my favourite Amiga developer(s) beta-test new programs/games !
- get sound fixed in my A4000
- get my XT-MFM 20MB HD looked at and if can't grease her up then replace with XT-MFM 33MB HD
- finally got my 1200T stable literally on News Year Eve installing OS3.1.4 so spend time for 'infinite tweaking' to get her just the way I like my WorkBench...this might take me another 2o years eh
- finally get back into Lightwave again! still can't get the render screen to work on my X1000 sigh so my A4000 will get alot of use waiting for large renders
- set up my spare A1000
- play more games I haven't yet finsihed
- pray for OS3.2 on my classics and OS4.2 on my X1000
- dream that I can get at least some of the list completed

@DiskDoctor

What I managed to achieve in 2020

- Upgrade my trusty A1200 from 3.1 to the latest 3.1.4.1 operating system
- Manage to get my old ACA 1221 card working again
- Obtain a working CD-ROM solution for my A1200
- Join the waiting list for a Vampire card for my A1200
- Obtain a near mint boxed A600 - albeit not working!
- Obtain an A500 Plus

In 2021 I plan to

- Upgrade to OS 3.2 if it becomes available
- Receive the new kickstarter keycaps when they are shipped out
- Continue buying and reading the excellent new Amiga Addict magazine
- Begin a spudmiga Youtube channel
- Fix my Wordworth installation problem (see 'Wordworth Woes' thread)
- Receive my Vampire 1200 card when it is ready
- Possibly purchase an NG system - Sam460cr or A1222 ?
- Oooh and err... fix the A600!

I have similar aspirations for 2021 save for the YouTube channel and the Vampire (although it is tempting) - I would love a Warp 1260 but the processors are like gold dust.

An A1222 would be good, if they become available I will buy one.

Regards,
Rude!

In random order:
- update my OS4 system software and reinstall Enhancer Software
- revive my ancient Amiga 2000HD system
- try out latest version of Icaros
- try out latest version of MorphOS

@DiskDoctor

It not a Resolutions, and no promises.

I have several projects I can be working in on, not 100% sure what I will be spending most of time on yet. I’m sure it be an interesting year.

This is what’s on my mind.

I few ideas old project I can do better,
I there are tools have annoying bugs, my look into that.
There are some emulators I think, can need some maintenance.
There is old classic game where source is now official available, not sure about amount of work, but build system need recreated as it uses code warrior for MacOS, code uses soft float, some code need to be updated.
I’m also interested in JavaScript machine code, I expect it the problem is integration, if built from ground up, like I like do.
new extensions for Amos Kittens. (but only if there is an interest, not wasting time.)
look into new / old programing languages.
learn something about shaders.
Write new sprite editor.
maybe start working on some packet projects.

Too few hours in a day really.

@DiskDoctor

What I managed to achieve in 2020:
- Collecting my X5000 out of storage and getting it back to work.

For 2021, I plan to:
- Rejuvenate some of my software titles on OS4-Depot, like 'LinkManager', 'WBMakelink', 'AssignView' and 'TaskView'. And while I'm at it, and time permitting, maybe update some other titles.
- Release some new software titles, that I've in the pipeline.
-- at least one title is a command used exclusively at boottime
-- one other title is a command used exclusively for removable storage devices
- Publish some articles that I've written in OS4Coding. These articles are not yet complete and need to be revised and fact-checked.

But it all depends on the availabillity of the factor time. I *may* fold up again in short time (within months), I *may* live here for another year. I can't foresee.

Edit: removed a spelling error ('here' iso 'hear', tsk, tsk, tsk)

@DiskDoctor

Not to install OS updates before, during and after reading about all the problems. Even if it works fine on my clean volume because it will still break my main volume which it did. Oops I broke that one...

Mine would be then...

Update The Maestrix and fix that annoying stuttering bug.

Update CIAgent to the level I wanted it to be with a nice icon and think about audio supprt.

Write an interface builder scripting language for easy launching of simple GUIs from shell scripts.

Write an X1000 boot editor so X1000 users can easily boot and manage Linux like never before.

Well I started planning all that from last year and beyond so hopefully can get some of it done.

Build a wall of shelves and fold out desks for most of my systems and monitors, so I can have them all accessible for use without needing to rewire etc.

Fixing a good handful of A1200s, got the mobos and the cases ready

Fresh up the case of my A3000 a little

Put some colour on the case of one of the A600s

Put metal cushings (??) in the screw holes of the A600s and use metal screws

Fix a bunch of amiga keyboards, hopefully some keycaps will show up soonish

Build a few A500s into new cases, hopefully

Check out PiStorm etc, get more Orange Pi zeros for the lot

Make a docker file for building the MiST firmware myself (already started on this)

Figure out what case to use for the MiSTer, maybe a Checkmate 1500 mini...

Put something inside my Checkmate 1500 plus...

Install OS4.1FE on a Sam...

Get more into C and asm on Amiga, make few more rom modules and commodities, fix a few “issues” I have with various software I use for which sources have been made accessible to me

Ah yes, finish up some locales for “norsk” and “nynorsk”, in particular those for OS 3.1.4 and upcoming 3.2, and upload the lot to Aminet, including “reverse engineered” catalogue description (.cd) files and .language files with source code. Just to trigger some controversy
