| I have an ESI Juli@ sound card in my X5000. It uses the Envy24HT driver. The sound works fine, but none of the mixers work. They say "No card found." I can adjust the main sound level in Sounds in Prefs. Is there some way to set other things like balance? _________________ X5000 / microA1(OS4.1 FE U2) / CodeBench / Imagine / Blender Lightwave 2019 / Microsoft Visual C++ |

Mixer AFAIK it only recognizes these IDs for envyth/juli@ cards: #define VENDOR_ID 0x1412 #define DEVICE_ID 0x1724 #define CARD_STRING "Envy24HT" ... #define SUBVENDOR_AUREON_SKY 0x3b154711 #define SUBVENDOR_AUREON_SPACE 0x3b154511
#define SUBVENDOR_PHASE28 0x3b154911 #define SUBVENDOR_PHASE22 0x3b155011
#define SUBVENDOR_MAUDIO_REVOLUTION71 0x12143036
#define SUBVENDOR_JULIA 0x31305345

I bought the computer from the previous owner and the Juli@ sound card came with it. From what I've read, the card is an expensive, high-quality card. What Sound Blaster cards work with OS4.1 / X5000 (in case I want to change)? _________________ X5000 / microA1(OS4.1 FE U2) / CodeBench / Imagine / Blender Lightwave 2019 / Microsoft Visual C++ |

The Juli@ is a studio-level card. I would never swap it for a SoundBlaster. The lack of mixer support is a trivial niggle.
