I’ve just got Shapeshifter working and want to transfer files to the Hard Files that I’m booting off. PC formatted Zip Disks are recognised but the Mac side has the 8 character file name limit! I’m guessing if I got Mac formatted disks recognised on the Amiga side this limit would not be present?

Any ideas? I’ve installed Cross Mac and the Dos Driver off Aminet but I can’t see the disk on AmigaOS 3.9

@BigD

A way to do it without a zip disc was to create a filedisk for Mac and using a file handler provided with shapeshifter you can access it from workbench and directory opus if i remember well

@saimon69

It's taken me a year to give this a go! Having to stipulate MacControl Mac: Resource is a weird step! Does it remember it for future hard resets etc?

Don't need to alter the MacOS HDF very often but the resource HDF is useful to mess with!

Also, do I have to run it in windowed graphics mode to access Workbench for the MacHandler stuff or can I run it in external graphics mode and get back to Workbench somehow?

@Thread

Nope, can only see MacOS on Workbench with MacHandler - better than nothing but wanted to access the Resource HDF with the actual programs and games on! How do you switch from Data to Resource HDFs?

@saimon69

But thanks! I also see that I can't call my SFS Partition Mac: because MacHandler mounts a Mac: partition by default so they can't be the same name!

Also, I can't get Photoshop 4 to open JPGS! What's going on?

Trying PICT file format instead. This is a faff though! I thought that Photoshop was the Dog's knackers! I prefer Photogenics 5!
