Warp3D predate Goa 3D that MorphOS uses,

Warp3D was created by Sam Jordan, Hans-Joerg Frieden, Thomas Frieden.
Goa3D was created by Nicolas Sallin for MorphOS.

Warp3D Nova was made by Hans De Ruiter for OS4.x Enhancer package.

Yeh… lot can be done better, and something can be fixed, if it were opened.
as I see it balance between commercial interests and public interests.

Hyperion did not own everything and so does not have the right open source everything, as a lot of developed under a never-ending license. (it’s the license owner does, but it’s not clear who owns it, because the ownership of parts is not well documented.), also given the lack of payment in many cases, the transfer of labor for compensation. This becomes even more complicated.

According to the documentations at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warp3D Warp3D will not run on ARM systems supporting 2D GFX only.

AROS has Gallium3D but I don't think they are compatible, so ARM driven AOS3 computers might not be supported.

What files? There are no files, that's my point - all the "styles" ("gadtools", "thin", "thick", "xen", "thin xen") are coded into the binaries, and whatever style you chose doesn't really affect the memory footprint much. MUI on the other hand (which I'm sure we can agree is way more flexible in terms of "styling"), uses external files as resources, and memory footprint hence vary with which "style" is used.

That's not exactly true. ENV(ARC):Classes/ is the place where both system and custom BOOPSI classes can store any files or configs they need.

I play some time with original mui last month. I was nice. But it is so outdated.
We reach the point where mui need so much changes so it is better to drop it.
It is time to start with zune as base for future amiga gui.
So no problem with amiga os ownership. Everything what is needed is free.
Wazp3D mui ahi even there is some unix replacement for ASL.

rest of os should be changed to unix.
by these who want to switch.

I think the most advanced GUI on amiga is most likely QT, it’s already modernized. But I doubt it is going to be officially adopted given its dependences on .so files. I don’t think any true Amiga fans, don't like .so files. But QT works well, it’s fast, and advanced.

Changing the GUI to QT and the kernel to Un!x would not lead to a new Amiga, it would be something different.
So you don't need to call it Amiga, you don't need to ask for licenses and you wouldn't have to wait for a Super 680x0 or for Ultra AGA, you can use UAE for backwards compatibility.

How would you make it an Amiga successor? something that should be acknowledged as a New Amiga by 100k ExAmiga users?

If you are realistic about it, everything related to amiga is outdated.

if you want to be pragmatic about it, we can learn from other systems, and things can become better.

if you’re irrational, you don’t care about Amiga issues, enjoy what we have.

pick your poison. It’s not up to me to judge. how you should enjoy your hobby.

Fun fact - back in the days of Qt 1 (before release even, I think), one of the developers (agulbra) used my A1200 (with Blizzard 1230 III) running NetBSD as a test bed for Qt, to check for portability and potential endianess issues. They were of course very much aware of MUI on Amiga.
