Jedi Academy (OpenJK) cutscene freeze

I´m trying to run Jedi Academy (GoG version). The game starts OK and the first level is playable until the very first cutscene (when the player character and his/her companion reach some closed door). Then the entire OS freezes - without any error message.

My configuration: Pegasos 2 G4 1266 MHz, 1 GB RAM, Radeon 9250 128 MB, OS4.1FEu2
Jedi Academy settings: 800x600, all options set to lowest possible (it works with better settings, but this game is by reputation memory hungry, so starting low)

Any clue, how to solve this issue?

@pavlor

Same for me on all platforms i tried. And that for sure not warp3d issue, as i tried with novabridge (warp3d replacement) and it's the same. That or MiniGL's code or game's code issues. How to fix that - dunno.

@kas1e

Maybe recompile the game without Warp3D/MiniGl maybe, Warp3D Nova / OpenGL ES is most likely better fit for the game.

It’s not like the game was initially made for Warp3D

@NutsAboutAmiga

But that will cut off all users that uses the old gfx cards (Sam440 owners etc) so instead probably better found what happened with MiniGL

Interesting enough, Jedi Outcast seems to work OK (some OS-wide mouse freezes here and there, but I was able to complete the first level). JO is also muuuch faster than JA. Too bad, I like JA more - it is an easy game to play (Outcast shows, how lame I´m on this kind of games ).
