Hi,

When going through the kicklayout once more, I often wonder about the usefullness of module 'ATIRadeon.chip' and whether it is wise to comment out the loading of this module. Modules '3DLabsPermedia2.chip' and '3dfxVoodoo.chip' (and some others as well) are excluded from loading as well.

Anyone knows?

OldFart

@OldFart

It depends on the graphic card you are using. If you are using newer one you may have other module from A-EON. But keep in mind that removing (or disabling) modules will gain a few milliseconds of loading while at the same time preventing the plug'n'play feature. Would you want to change one of the components or next a new one in your Amiga it would not work automatically... This may be the source of high frustration if you do not remind you disabled this or that specific module.

@OldFart

I will only comment regarding my own system ...

MicroA1-C with onboard ATI Radeon 7000 graphics.

I use "ATIRadeon.chip" ... there is no other valid option.

I commented out all those other choices,
such as "3DLabsPermedia2.chip" and "3dfxVoodoo.chip".
