@Karlos

Yeah, it's alright. I don't love it, but it's kind of C-like, so I don't hate it.

@Amiga4000

Nice GIF.

@MEGA_RJ_MICAL

Are you alright? I just come waltzing in here and post at the top of the page...

Someone asked (can't remember who...) who profited from this. Well look at who's promoting it, most times in a somewhat hidden way. Big banksters and corporations. I do think part of the population adheres to it, but the media exaggerates alot, it's obviously part of some agenda. What they profit from it I don't know but I've seen theories and wouldn't be surprised if some were true... i.e. globalism at the expense of nation sovereignty and divide and conquer tactics to expand and justify government power. The same "modus operandi" as I suspect the fires here in Portugal were made worse on purpose with inaction on very obvious occasions. Look at the policies they were able to pass and who is paying for it...

I can do angry herd! Or is it Angry Heard these days?

Rise up ye masses and take whatever positions you damn well deem fit! Bring back normality and correct the pendulum that has swung so far left to that it’s flipped to the right.

Upon reflection I think this comment could be misinterpreted on too many levels but I’ll leave it up for historical value!

Unfortunately, you can't take that position. If you are not openly for it (it being whatever the woke agenda of the moment is), you are against it. There's no subtlety or nuance because it's not a debate. It's an angry herd, constantly stampeding in whichever way the hashtags indicate.

@Jose

Of course it’s an agenda silly! Some people won’t be happy until we’re all docile human/robot slaves. And of course it’s the rich and powerful that set the agenda. But it happens because we let them.
We keep complaining about big corps and banks yet we continue to use their products and services like good little sheep.

You know what some like to do to sheep in some parts of the world ?

Exactly… as long as it doesn’t affect YOU! However, the whole point of the thread is, this “woke” b*llsh!t is being forced on the entire population of the planet…..

…… And don’t think for one iota that you or your children can escape it!

I’m the furthest thing from a NIMBY that’s for sure.

The biggest problem about this WOKE BS is that we mumble complaints about it all day whilst at the same time bending over multiple barrels getting shafted by it over and over again until….. I’ll stop with the description lest the imagery of my Analogy becomes too grotesque. Anyway, the point is we talk about it in echo chambers and bubbles and don’t speak out collectively.

Tell them to pissoff and leave us alone .we can’t become the minority. They’re already oppressing us psychologically, imagine what they will do to us and our children when they fully get their way.

Put your money where your mouths are and cancel the cancellers. It’s the only way.
Don’t buy the products and services of those with agendas and watch them come begging back to you cap in hand.

But the problem is most people see a problem but can’t be bothered to get off their sore derrières to do something about it.

The alternative involves hard work and sacrifice. But it’s so much easier just moaning about it. Whilst still on those barrels.

Yay! We live in a free country….. free to be oppressed by the 1% .. yay!

Most slaves don’t even know they are captives.

Jeez mate - you really need to get out of that bubble. 'bending over multiple barrels' and 'free to be oppressed by the 1%'? Maybe if you lightened up a bit you might enjoy life more...

It takes the beautiful simplicity of C and wraps it around some logic defying core implementation that does away with the simplicity imparted by simple scalar types and replaces it with a dynamically typed mess. And yet in this confused mess of types, nobody can define what an integer is. Consequently, this results in a bizarre nontransitive mess in which almost nothing makes sense. An expression like [ 1, 2, 10, 3, 25 ].sort() results in the values being sorted alphabetically, despite being given as integer literals.

JavaScript wants to be recognised as a C style language without accepting the reality how most genuinely C style languages work. It just wants to wear the curly braces and be thought of as C like. Forget type discipline, that's too rigid, too objective. Values should identify as whatever type an equally poorly defined interpretation of the operation being performed would indicate. A confused language embraced by an equally confused generation...

Wait, what were we discussing again?

He's probably wondering how best to inject some much needed zorram padding.

Wait, did I just assume his gender? Wait, did I just do it again?

I think a solution to the emergent conflict is sex. Get your minds out of the gutter, I mean to use the word "sex", and related biological terms instead of "gender" and the meaningless subjective verbage that has accreted around it.

Thus, for example, a female safe space would be for biological, XY females only. There would be single sex services in healthcare and such and anything else is either unspecified or unisex. Places where the physical manifestation of one's sex is the issue, as opposed to their self declared "gender" would be able to discriminate. For things like restrooms, you could include separate spaces for people who don't identify as their sex.

Yes, the type system is a bit of a mess. In the example you give, I would do something like

var ints = [1, 2, 10, 3, 25];
ints.sort(function(a, b) { return a - b;});

which isn't very intuitive. I would never design a language like this, but I can still get work done with it, if I have to.

I dunno. You could be onto something there. Maybe all that is need for some of these tightly wound, offence ravishing, narcissistic, high horse climbing, preachy busybodies, is just a good lay. Not getting any could be the source of all their frustrations. They need a pressure release valve.
Now that you’ve solved that one I think you should move onto solving world hunger and making world peace for the hat trick. Best to continue when your on a roll, before luck runs out.

That still isn't an integer sort, it'll be a double precision sort most likely. Your callback would need to do some type coercion, eg return (a|0) - (b|0);
