I recently got an X1000 and was making some big-fat-30-minutes-long video about it where I tried to cover all the stuff: history, the board itself, assemblyng it into the unusual case, making a serial adapter for debugging, installing FE+updates, stress testing on RadeonHD with many apps running at the same time, etc, etc. All with a lot of subtitles, covering the booting process, some basics of OS4 and co. This is probably the longest vid I ever made for OS4 in terms of time spent on it.

Everything is shown over the music from  "Messer für Frau Muller" band.

Yep, one man from os4welt help me and we do paypal on his purse, and then he do 2 bank transfers to him : first test one on 400 that he recieve it, and next on 600. So all fine in end. Through it was kind of pain :)

I had similar issues with Paypal when purchasing Radeon 280X graphics card for my AmigaOne X1000. I ordered it from ebay from some Albanian guy, but for unknown to me reason, the Paypal was always rejecting the transfer and returning me the money back.

At the end he send me the card without payment. After I got it, I sent him the money through Western Union.

Currently I have spared some money for X5000/040, but it's not avaialble anymore in any shops. Additionally, I am not sure if Paypal will allow such big transfer. Usually I buy less than 500€ goods through Internet.


Nice video BTW. I watched it yesterday. My 1.3 years old boy loved it too, so he kept pressing the play button over and over again.

As i understand what Mattew say they sold for now exactly x5000/040, as they have no 020 versions anymore. But dunno if AmigaKit itself selle it now.

I know for sure that some retailer have in stock x5000 as well (Amedia was one of them), but need to ask if they with 020 or 040. Also Alinea maybe have them too. I remember lately some ppls buy their x5000 exactly from Amedia.

I asked Alinea, and they answered that they are distributor only for Germany. Same for Amedia I think, they only distribute for France.

AFAIK AmigaKit is the only worldwide distributor, and they don't list on their site the X5000.

Hi there,

I believe Amedia sends abroad. Have seen others buying from them who are not located in France.

You can also try contacting Relec. They do send abroad, and the last time I was in contact with them, they had plans to offer X5000/040 builds. I bought a Sam from them a while back and the service was excellent with good communication and speedy delivery.

Have you guys thought about using crypto ? You will need however to have an available exchange (could be someone willing to trade too...) on the other side, if you want to convert it back to money. I never used it, but regarding these types of situations seems to be the best.
