Irony and cynicism,
unstable friend QBit,

are for people who need to deal with other people,
who come to an Amiga forum to talk about starving children and suicides.

Friendly VVVVOOOOOORRRRRRs,

Shut your filthy mouth. ApolloOS is a gutted POS and potentially tainted.

Aros is not dead but it is not alive either.

Why don’t AROS commits show up in ApolloOS and vice versa?

@rzookol

you are morphos supporter as far as I can remember. Please show me the progress of the ISA change?

BTW aros merges with linux. Then we can talk again

On 68k I can do anything I want already. Commits are only needed to improve compatibility or add missing features. I should know

@kolla

because it is not the same branch. And not all commits are for all platforms. Apolloos is pure for Apollo V4 hardware and 68k, commits that are only relevant on X86 are not taken over. And Deadwood is updating roms from time to time. Certainly there will be a update in next months there. For example the apollo rom broke UAE so it no longer fully works outside V4. That is of course not wanted on main branch. Also only commits are taken over there that are not V4 specific.

Aros does I feel gets slightly overlooked, it is a really impressive OS. Plus it is surprising how well the Kickstarter Replacement Rom can run quite a bit of the Amiga library.

I’m really pleased it exists as no matter what happens with the ip and the legal mess, we got a way around it.

Im pleased to see icaros get a updated beta release this year, as it had been 3 years I think since the last major release. So hope we see icaros 2.4 soon.

@kolla

you seem to be the only one not knowing it... Deadwood is porting aros components to Linux and they are real linux apps then. And also he plans to make ABI0 and ABI64bit aros software directly working in linux. Scalos will be real linux desktop. He already uploaded a video of a prealpha version of Scalos running in linux.

@OlafS25

I think Kolla's "what?" was because the sentences he responded to with it didn't make sense, not that he didn't know about Deadwood's work.
