| So this recently came online https://chat.openai.com/
The amount of uses and stuff it can do is pretty dam impressive if you ask me! https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2022/12/openai-invites-everyone-to-test-new-ai-powered-chatbot-with-amusing-results/
So whats this got to do with Amiga? Well I had to ask it to write a story about Amiga becoming the best computer platform, this is what it spat out
Quote:
The year was 1985, and the world of personal computing was a chaotic place. IBM and its PC clones dominated the market, but a scrappy upstart called Amiga was starting to make a name for itself.
Amiga was founded by a group of engineers who were passionate about creating the best computer platform in the world. They poured all of their energy and resources into developing cutting-edge hardware and software for their new platform.
As Amiga's products began to hit the market, they quickly gained a reputation for their superior performance and user-friendly design. The Amiga 1000, the company's first computer, was a revolutionary machine that offered stunning graphics and sound capabilities, as well as a multitasking operating system that allowed users to run multiple programs at once.
The Amiga 1000 was an instant hit, and it quickly became the computer of choice for creative professionals, gamers, and home users alike. Amiga's success attracted the attention of major companies like Electronic Arts, which released a string of successful games for the platform.
Over the next few years, Amiga continued to release new and improved computers, each one more advanced than the last. The Amiga 2000, 3000, and 4000 all offered even greater capabilities, and they became the go-to computers for those who demanded the best.
Amiga's rise to the top didn't go unnoticed by its competitors, and a fierce battle for market share ensued. But Amiga proved to be more than up to the challenge, and it continued to innovate and release new products that set the standard for personal computing.
By the early 1990s, Amiga had established itself as the best computer platform in the world. Its loyal user base was a testament to the company's commitment to excellence, and Amiga continued to thrive for many years to come. |
But there more, it can do coding! So I just ask it to do "Amiga Arexx code to open a txt doc" this is what it spat out
Quote:
To open a text file using Amiga Arexx, you could use the following code:
/* Open a text file using Amiga Arexx */
/* Define the path to the text file */ file_path = "SYS:MyTextFile.txt"
/* Open the text file */ open file_path
/* Read the contents of the text file */ read file_path
/* Close the text file */ close file_path
This code assumes that the text file is located in the "SYS:" directory on your Amiga. You will need to modify the file_path variable to reflect the actual location of the text file on your system.
When this code is executed, it will open the specified text file, read its contents, and then close the file. You can then use the file_path variable to access the contents of the text file within your Arexx program. |
This is kinda nuts What everyone else thoughts on this tech and its many uses. On Linus tech show they talk about it and use it, its dam impressive https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Luz82RG5PqA&t=1206s_________________ AmigaNG, YouTube, LeaveReality Studio |

Isn’t it just a semantic search engine with deep learning? ”It ’knows’ Amiga”, well if the info is on the web in some shape or form, it would be more of an eyebrow raiser if a search engine wouldn’t “know” it… |

| I was messing with it a few days ago and asked it to write an Amiga emulator in C using sdl as an api.
It didnt write a complete one, but it did write one using a combo of stubs and complete pseudo code, along with setting up variables for things like cpu registers and memory maps.
Pretty impressive, and it'll only get better over time. |

| Write a Christmas song about Amiga 500, a1200 and cd32 Quote:
Jingle Amiga, jingle Amiga All the way, oh what fun it is to play On our Amiga 500, A1200, and CD32 With our trusty joysticks and floppy disks too Jingle Amiga, jingle Amiga Graphics smooth and sound so clear We'll stay up all night, our spirits bright Playing games and feeling festive cheer Oh Amiga, our beloved machine Bringing us joy through the years Jingle Amiga, jingle Amiga Merry Christmas and happy gaming cheers!" |
Story about the Amiga boing ball becoming real and crushing Pc and Mac’s Quote:
Once upon a time, the Amiga Boing Ball - the iconic bouncing ball from the Amiga operating system - came to life. It was a beautiful and bouncy ball, and it quickly became the envy of all the other computers. The PC and Mac were jealous of the Amiga's ball, and they tried to imitate it by creating their own bouncing icons. But no matter how hard they tried, they could never match the sheer bounciness of the Amiga Boing Ball. One day, the Amiga Boing Ball had had enough of the PC and Mac's envy. It grew to an enormous size and began bouncing around the world, crushing everything in its path. The PC and Mac were no match for the unstoppable force of the Amiga Boing Ball, and they were quickly reduced to rubble. In the end, the Amiga Boing Ball reigned supreme, and it became the undisputed champion of the computing world. And everyone lived happily ever after, bouncing along to the rhythm of the Amiga. |
Combine these games lemmings, worms, sensible soccer, alien breed and another world and describe what the new game would be?
Quote:
The new game would be called "Alien Lemming Soccer," and it would combine elements from all of the games mentioned. In the game, players would control a team of lemmings who are armed with the weapons from Worms and tasked with playing a game of Sensible Soccer against a team of aliens from Alien Breed. The game would take place in the beautiful but dangerous world of Another World, with players navigating the treacherous terrain and avoiding deadly obstacles as they try to score goals. The game would be fast-paced and action-packed, with players using a combination of strategy and quick reflexes to come out on top. Overall, Alien Lemming Soccer would be a unique and exciting blend of different game genres, offering players a truly one-of-a-kind gaming experience. |
That last one kinda blow my mind and I kinda want to play it.
Sorry I’m having way too much fun with it._________________ AmigaNG, YouTube, LeaveReality Studio |

Sounds like lots of AI Amiga fun. If a girlfriend was participating with you it would be a hot date! Last edited by DiscreetFX on 07-Dec-2022 at 03:07 AM.
