| @Amiga4000 Many of the Realistic/ Optimus home receivers were made by Pioneer. Actually good stuff!

| @Amiga4000 Wow what amazing memories flipping through the 1977 catalog to find the NOVA 8B speakers I still use on my stereo system today. Also found the 4 channel amplifier that I used to use on my old Amiga 1000 to drive a pair of speakers. I used to so look forward to the new Radio Shack catalog each year. Bought a lot of electronic components from their to make various projects with at well. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

| Back in the day you could actually buy Parts there, resistors, caps. Much of what you would need for a project. Then it turned into a toy store, was all downhill from there. Allied was a good merge, but they killed the model.

Yeah, I remember buying components from Tandy (as it was called in the UK). Everyone else in the shop used to go to the consumer bits and I'd always wander to the component section. Well, that and the musical keyboard bit as I had a bit of a fascination with those too. _________________ Doing stupid things for fun... |
