Exactly what are you missing?

Zune works for all the MUI software brought to AROS. Including Scalos, which I presume you know, is a MUI based Workbench replacement.

Btw - Amiga also doesn’t have compatible MUI, it is always lagging behind the *REAL* MUI of MorphOS.

PowerPC is job (AIX, Linux and JunOS), no fun in it.

Amiga gui and graphics on top of unix.

You should contact IBM to have them implement it - they could even let the A in AIX stand for Amiga - and it already has Rexx!

What exactly is missing? Examples, please. It seems MUI for AROS does work just fine for the AROS apps that use it.

Here is an idea. You yourself is a self proclaimed developer. The source code is available. Why not just download the sources, implement what you think is missing and then send the patches to upstream aros.
I mean that is how it usually works.

A developer that just sits and complains about missing functionality in an open source project instead of "just write the code that is missing" is pretty lame.

@V8

I wrote many times what you and other clowns that want to switch from ppc should do.
aros zune was not tested with 68k apps.
thats why aros zune is worth nothing crap.
back port zune to 68k and ppc and test it.
function by function, class by class.

@ppcamiga1

So why don't YOU test it function by function? Why do you expect anyone else to do it for you?

Off you go.

@Karlos

It is obvious.
People who want to switch from ppc to x86 or arm
should provide something Amiga like worth of use on x86 or arm.
which means szulc, karlos, szonwejs, v8

They don’t want to switch - they already switched, long ago even.

They already did, and continue to do.

YOU on the other hand… please just stay on PowerPC, forever.

Nobody wants you on x86 or ARM, please stay away!

@CosmosUnivers

We are now February is the plan for the shop finalized?

I believe you must be making over-hours to have the plan ready by now and setting it up, right?

In a space movie far far away?

SMP was a new thing on home PCs, and UAE for Linux had an option aptly named —enable-penguins which put 68k emulation on one core and chipset etc emulation on the other. It was great for “system friendly” software, but not so great for old games etc. and eventually the feature vanished. It never made it into WinUAE I think.

Funny sounding name. I wonder what the Windows equivalent would be? -enable-toasters ?

I wonder how hardware games would affect it. Being it's all emulated. It shouldn't matter what software is running.

Quote:
But yes, the idea isn’t too bad - dedicate one core to 68k emulation and use other cores for emulating chipset and peripherals.

Given an issue with emulation was the single core nature or need being able to split it up would be good.

Looks like that would be a good Amiga parody of American Pie. In our case Amiga Pie. Or Amigan Pie.

Didn't you hear? He's the ideas guy and needs a financial investor and business partner with a premises to do the grunt work and take all the risk for the love of 68k!
