| I am not sure why Amigakit need to do that, they do it on the RGB to SCART leads too. There's a seller on eBay who sells the same leads but with the 23pin proper connector. I can only assume when someone finds something they squirrel all the stock away so no other seller can buy.
Its a bit like the issue with the A1200 Vampire. They cite a problem getting hold of the connectors that go on the A1200's expansion header, yet Jens at Individual Computing happily keeps producing A1200 accelerators with no apparent issue with connectors.
For a hobbyist market there is no collaboration - all the way through to the various nextgen OSes.

With 3D printing getting better and more affordable, I can imagine that it could be possible to print the 23-pin connectors. This only is a solution if the numers are rather low. I can imagine that this 3D-printing can also be a solution for other hard to source connectors. The metal-work (male/female pins) should be available.
