soft: no it wont , as there is no sw render + that if it was a sw render it would have used an excisting one for amiga which is just as limited as w3d, anyway who wants SW RENDER anyway?

seriously we just need to get:

1. the OS out (os4)
2. Get a NEW w3d Update
3. get games and so on.

that said, there is no problem by making games now ofcourse (i am a developer myself so) and in many ways i dont think W3d Suxx , its just very oldish compared to DX 9 etc on pc, but then again i havent really met issues with w3d yet, but i have met many issues on my AMIGA hardware (bppc with 060/66mhz and 240mhz ppc with voodoo3) , problems like RTG memory and other small issues.

also keep in mind that SOMS is not a billion dollar project or even a low budget game, its made from pure amiga fanactism.

i dont work on soms but i work on our teams stuff and for financing our work we make demos and try to win compos with them, other than that we work on developing for playstation 2 etc.

just remeber that there is no market atm for big teams with lots of money to jump in and make stuff, its fully possible what we got atm but it wont sell to even cover labeling the cds!.

this will hopefully change in the future (this year i hope!) and for the love of god GIVE US OS4! , then i am sure a market will arise and we could sell games in 4 digit numbers!

cheers

ps:sorry for all the "negative" stuff in here but i am sure you all know it allready!.

I think the game looks pretty cool. Hopefully the OpenGL port for OS4 will make it to the end release.
