Some initial pictures from AmiGBG 2004 can be found here and here. Also Ryu captured some of AmigaWorld's live audio broadcasting and together with Billsey intends to create an edited version.

We (Swedish Usergroup of Amiga) have made a video of Hyperion's presentation at AmiGBG. We have some temporary servers provided by nice people from #amiga.se, we will have more videos later.

@everyone

Please do NOT try to access this site just now.

@Ikir:

Ben said he has no "offcial" affiliation with Hyperion now and has handed over his day to day duties to one of the original founders of Hyperion. ( don't recall his name) , who is "better suited" for the technical nits that need dealing with now rather than the "big picture" view Ben had to manage in the past.

He also said this migration has been under way for about 2 months now ..IMO this 2 month interval appears to be connected with KMOS actively becoming involved

Ben said Hyperion would soon be "restructred" and he would again be "officially" associated with Hyperion...as a stock owner, I believe he said.

Seems like great news to me..and IMHO speaks of bigger and better things for Hyperion and the Amiga OS . He also said how pleased he was to have what seems to be a well funded company like KMOS associated with the Amiga OS and Hyperion. Me too!

> The Volvo were located at the ground floor and not related to the event itself. Man what a hideous color scheme on that one

Sod the colour scheme. The question is, why would anyone take photographs of a Volvo??? I could understand it if it were a Ferarri, Lamborghini, Aston-Martin, or some other equally interesting/exotic car, but a VOLVO?!! Looks like nothing more than a regular family saloon car commonly seen on roads. It may be fast, it may be practical, it may be reliable, but it's just a nothing, run-of-the-mill family car...

Anyway, getting back to the point in question, anyone got any proper show reports yet?

Jules

Well I'm home now and I'me VERY tired so I'd just like thank Shoe, Reflect, Wedin and all the other people that made AMIGBG such a great event to attend ( it was my first outside of the UK).

OS4 was great and I'm extremely desperate to get my hands on that CD.

It was good to see the faces behind the nicks and to have a few beers, eat some good food and chat with you all.

Thanks guys!

Now I'm off to bed.....probably sleep for a few days now.

@Jules_s
It is the S60R! after all.. not a standard family van. But, if thats not enough for you, look here for some really exotic/interesting swedish cars.

Well, I've finally managed to get my AmiGBG pictures up on-line, in case there's still any interest for even more pictures.

Pah...those frames'll probably come out blank. I'm sure of it!

Besides, even if they don't, I beat you to it! (I have to add, that is one cool shirt you're wearing!)

I've finished the Cloanto presentation part of the audio, but I need access to upload it to AW.

Also, my capture has that daleks distortion from 10:12 to 19:48 of the presentation. I left that portion in because I think most people can figure out what's being said if they listen closely.

I'll try to get the rest done in a few days. There's a LOT of editing, though.

As can be seen here, Ben Hermans is now making a name for himself by eating microphones at Amiga gatherings...

Possibly there's money in that, I do not know

This weeks pet peeve:
Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). Sometimes I don't even know what people mean.

But I sure hope that money is not made in that way
