Announcement   Announcement : Hyperion Entertainment - AmigaOS4 News
   posted by Mikey_C on 13-May-2004 21:01:00 (13215 reads)
Leuven, Belgium - May 13 2004.

After consultation with our German CD production partner, House of Audio, Hyperion Entertainment is pleased to announce that the Developer Pre-Release of AmigaOS 4.0 is now tentatively scheduled for May 21th, 2004.

The AmigaOS 4.0 CD will be distributed through your AmigaOne dealer.

(Edited for clarity)
From Rogue:
We are expecting to get the CD's on monday or tuesday (note: expecting. It depends on things like the german postal services to work as expected, the CD's actually shipping to us etc).

Don't be silly, the rewrite for the cell processor would be enormous.

Now OS4 on Xbox 2, thats more likely.

@Rogue

Great news! All Amigans in Gothenburg, Sweden are holding their breath.

The work you have made with OS4 is already historic.

Cheers

Famous Hyperion Developers are reported to be walking on eggshells, . . er, correction- walking on soft drinks in the lead up to their pre-release of AmigaOS4.0 becoming available to dealers!

This is because, due to a shortage of funding, the coke machines had to be re-possessed leaving the inventive Hyperion Developers to create their own sub-floor soft drink storage system. The only trouble is Mountain Dew is a rarety, and to find a Mountain Dew they are forced to lift many floor boards in their quest!

Hey! Great idea for a new computer game: The Great underfloor softdrink search!?!
It isn't? Ah - well back to the drawing board!

- "Wish WE had that Joyboard, and the original Guru Meditation game code!"

So, as it is wednesday one can assume the CDs didn't arrive on monday or tuesday?

Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). Sometimes I don't even know what people mean.

It would be really nice to have the CD in time for the comming Bank Holiday Weekend, When I finish work on Friday at the end if this month, I'm off work until Tuesday evening when I start working night shift for a month. OK I'm not going to loose any sleep over it if it does not arrive by then, it will be done but it would be nice
