It's about bloody time.
The last time I checked the Hyperion site hadn;t been updated since November 2001.
Quite awful!
I stopped checcking in the end, the Eyetech site is almost as bad.

10 minutes updating a site, every few weeks! come on!

Will the old website be deleted, and the the .com domain redirected to your new site?

Hope the pre-release will be in my home next week also. Then I can register it and get all the goodies. I have just registered Heretic 2 and Quake 2 and have already ordered Shogo and FreeSpace. I go for maximum support.

Now, when do we see Sin for the Amiga?

@ alx

does not happen @ my home ...

EDIT: It is only http://www.hyperion-entertainment.com/index.html that redirects to the new website ... http://www.hyperion-entertainment.com/ does not (including all other pages excluding http://www.hyperion-entertainment.com/index.html)

EDIT-2: With MS IE6 it does redirect from http://www.hyperion-entertainment.com/, but that does not help all of us who use another browser (Mozilla Frirefox).

I'm sorry but you're wrong. The last update(s) have been about the pre-release. It has seen frequent updates in 2002 and 2003, even in 2004. The only area that was neglected was the Mac area, but that is because there wasn't anything new to report there.

@hnl_dk:

http://www.hyperion-entertainment.com/ should load index.html anyway, unless you've linked directly to the Amiga section.

On a different topic, those of you that had trouble with registering your OS 4 copy, please try again, should work now. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Okay, do I have to explain the difference between a server and a DNS entry? :)

Why did you register .biz when you could have just transferred the .com to the new server?

I had some trouble registering my Hyperion games (Shogo, Freespace, Heretic 2, Quake 2) - The three others went well but I managed to register my copy of Heretic 2 three times because the page did not update properly and I thought the registration went wrong.

About Hyperion projects...what happened to Amiga version of Sin, why is it not mentioned in the web site? I have understood the conversion has been ready and waiting for the OS4 for a long time, is it still going to be released to Amiga?

Cheers

Seppo

This is a bit carping, why should they explain that to you or anyone else! If they prefer "biz" for whatever reason that is their business. No-doubt they are keeping "com" as well.

I prefer "red" to "orange", and look what they have done, kept the site "organge" instead of making it "red". Perhaps I too should demand that Hyperion explain to me their colour persistence that is so much againt my preferences!

Sorry Necko, prhaps there is some other point that I have missed.

Hardly.

Although I don't know what's wrong with a .biz domain, I don't want to go into details of this. Let's just say that it is intentional.

@Neko

If I remember correctly there was some dispute over the Hyperion domain with another company called Hyperion and the dispute was settled by the prime domain being a page where you could select to go to either Hyperion Entertainment or the other company.

IIRC of course.

Either or, it doesn't matter, it is just a URL.
