I thought snow was common there in denmark

No, not at Christmas. It's much more common at New Year's (yes, even though it's only a difference of a week) and then regularly during the first two months of the new year, sometimes longer.

I'm about ten miles south of Troels, and we also -- much to the surprise of all the Danish meteorologists, who had been sure it would be raining -- got a healthy powder the night before Friday, which is only almost all melted by now.

Oh, and Merry XMas to everybody!

Best regards,

Niels

We only got rain and hail here observed in Ribe, Tønder and Højer

But I am looking forward to see a white New Years eve

In Australia, it's traditionally hot at Christmas, so salads are the norm. But this year in Sydney it was unseasonably cool (20C), so the hot gravy was appreciated.

Best wishes to evryone here.

Nope, but I did get a 17" flat panel monitor. I can actually see the top of my desk now.
