Amigaworld.net News   Amigaworld.net News : Happy New Year from Amigaworld.net
posted by DaveyD on 1-Jan-2005 0:03:36 (5176 reads)
Happy New Year from the Amigaworld.net Team and Welcome to the new-look for 2005

2004 was a good year for Amigaworld.net, at the start of the year we were getting around 250,000 pageviews per month, today we get over 1.2 million pageviews per month.

Thank you for all your support

Note: The new layout is a 'Work In Progress', some areas of the site will look bland until the new theme is integrated into them.

The site looks really good, and if it load faster, then even better :)

BUT:
The green color does not fit into the colorscheme, I would personally try with some kind of blue och grey color. The green backgroundcolor makes the text look very blurry (at least on this monitor).

And a happy new yaer to you all.

Noticed there's an RSS news feed now, like it!

Or was it always there and I just didn't notice

on which resolution?
Here with IB2.3 on 1024x768 WB, in a ~800x600 window, the 2 adverts are aligned horizzontally.

I was looking at about a 700x500 res.

They look ok here now too, so something has changed in the last few hours.

I like the new site, it is much quicker, and the "OS4 Window Borders" were a nice fad for a while, but not in the long term.

The green is a bit odd though.

Happy New Year from Chanticleer Boonie!

Now, please tell me you didn't pay Suse good money for the rights
to use that putrid green that they so wisely discontinued, after realizing
few people attributed the 'color' with professionalism, sanity, or good taste...
lose the green, tonight, please!

Happy new year to all !

The increase in PageViews are to me due to mainly 3 things:

1.> Quality of the website and of the members.
2.> The new Amiga becoming a reality (with OS4.0 Pre released).
3.> Less activity on Amiga.org pushing members to move here (I am one of them...)

AW, Carry on the good work !

Jerry

Happy New Year to you all!!!

(but I prefer last years look. I thought I was on the wrong web site when I saw that cogged boing ball, and the green an white feels like a Acorn site.)
