Wasn't a version of PPaint announced too?

I think it was said that Cloanto had promised a version that would be bundled with OS4.

Don't recall if it was to be OS4 native though?

I am a troll and I can only say that Hyperion sent the A1, because some of it's developers got tired of the defective hardware and left them, mwahahahahahaha.

Oh wait this is the wrong place to say this. Now I will get edited and permbanned, but I will go ranting on "moo bunny" thereafter, mwahahahahahahaha.

Seriously, this is great news. I'll look forward for more similar events to happen.

@Samurai_Crow

It isn't H&P who does the OS4 port of Arteffect. Some external guy proposed to do the port for them!
Actually they don't even need to have an A1.

@all
I have paid and ordered my PPC native version of PGS5 Pro before Xmas 2004. I'm happy to see it being developed at least!

Thx Deron and Grasshopper Team.

@steff

heres the press release from Cloanto site

Press release - For immediate release
Personal Paint 7.1 for AmigaOS 4.0

Seattle, WA January 6, 2004 - Amiga Inc. and Cloanto are delighted to announce that Personal Paint 7.1 will be available on the upcoming AmigaOS 4.0 operating system.

The Personal Paint series of 2D graphics and animations applications has been a mainstay of the application base for the Amiga platform ever since its introduction in 1992 and it is also a star attraction of the Cloanto Amiga Forever package. As Cloanto considers a new version of the product for AmigaOS 4.0, it has decided to show its commitment to the Amiga platform and community by making the source code of the current version available to Amiga Inc., allowing them to create a PowerPC native version for the upcoming AmigaOS 4.0 product. The created binaries will be owned by Cloanto but will be made available for free download from the Amiga and Cloanto web sites.

Cloanto and Amiga are also in talks concerning a new version of Amiga Forever, as well as a special version of Amiga Forever for AmigaOS 4.0, which aims to provide chipset-level Classic Amiga compatibility integrated with the new generation Amiga operating system and hardware.

Oh wait......Damn.....
It's over a year ago....and a lot has happenned to AmigaInc since then.
I wonder if it's still going on....but I somehow doubt it.

Ok. Going back to my happy place now.

I have purchased the Pro version of PS 5.0 for my AmigaOne-XE, almost 1 year ago!!!

And just NOW it's being compiled???

AOS4.0 development needs a kickstart in the a$$!!!!!

Oh well, AMIGA RULES!!!!!!

BTW, life's too short to worry about how expensive it is to get involved with Amiga again, if you love it, get One, if you don't, troll somewhere else, just get lost. (DrHirudo........JUST KIDDING! )

Alright!!!! Amiga Forever for AmigaOnes!?!!

I really hope they can get AGA going as well!!!!!

This is a MUST BUY!!

This is great news!

My next software purchase will probably be IBrowse (although Aweb is faster..) and when PS5 is finished I will certainly get that!

this has been the plan from the beginning.
pagestream will use the systems default gui. mui for morphos (and maybe 68k) and reaction for os4.
who knows - maybe the user will be able to chose? well - i'd prefer a real reaction gui of course

It seems like the focus for now is a MUI version for Amiga, MorphOS and OS4. The first native MorphOS test program has been uploaded already. An OS4 version will follow. Later there will also be an option for using Reaction instead of MUI.

"Spring visited for a brief moment here in the Northwoods of Wisconsin
before winter came back for what we hope is one last time. Like the coming
of spring, PageStream5.0 Amiga will not be denied! Many folks have asked
how the various projects are coming along and I would like to outline where
we stand as best as I can.

Since completing PageStream5.0 Windows and Linux*, Deron has been
concentrating on completing the MUI version of PageStream Amiga. A MUI
version is currently in development for the Classic Amiga, MorphOS and now
the AmigaOne/OS4. That's right, Tuesday of this week Deron received a
current AmigaOne from the great folks at Hyperion!

The first native version of PageStream MorphOS PPC test program and
libraries has been uploaded to the web site. We ask that those users
download and test the program on their computers and report back to us on
the PageStreamAmigaBeta mailing list. We expect an OS4 version to follow
soon. For those users who prefer not to use MUI, never fear. A
ClassAct/Reaction version of PageStream Amiga is in the works!

As Deron reported a few weeks ago on the main PageStream Support list, work
on the Macintosh OSX version of PageStream will begin public testing once
the Amiga versions reach a stable point."

Good news indeed!
