- How does Apple's PPC->x86 switch affect to Hyperion's plans?
- Any official statement about AmigaOS 4's future? Will it be desktops/embeddeds or possibly both?
- Any news on Mesa?
- Any news on Nova?
- Any news on RealSoft 3d?
- Did Alexander get his '1 keks'?
- Will Helgis be extremely happy when he gets his mA1?

@Hyperion

As a general user/community member who wants to see OS4 (and the AmigaOne concept) flourish, but has no coding skills to speak of, and insufficient money to actually buy an AmigaOne machine, what can I do to best support/reward/encourage your efforts with OS4?

Questions

Will you offer your services to Apple?

Will you be bundling any games with the OS?

Will there be swear words hidden in the code?

@Mikey:

What about forgetting that "20 questions" limit? Why not ask all good questions, no matter if there are 5 or 37,6 of them?

@Hyperion

1. What are you planning to do post OS 4.0? Back to games development or 4.1?
2. Are there any nice suprises lined up for the OS 4 final feature set?
3. How's OS 4 development been for you?
4. Where would you like to see Amiga OS in 5 years?
5. How tough would it be to migrate OS4 from PPC to x86?

Thanks

What will you do when OS4 is released?

Get *real* drunk

The best drunkness for You very soon!
Good code must become in a "state of the art- mind" because the music does.
(I am atm) and don't use too much of liquers, I think (thought) that os4, erm, beer does not damage the brain too much... Hehe being funny. Meet You somewhere then in these happenings?..;)

EveryOne can deserve some fun but I think You have!

Q. I understood that you were also porting games to the Mac platform, How is this affected by the switch from PPC to x86 by Apple ? In the short and long term ?

Thanks,

Martin

ps, nobody said the questions had to be Amiga related

@wed

It all depends on how many questions the lads from Hyperion want to answer

Personally I think 20 is more than enough, or else, they won't release OS4!!

I've got a couple of questions about the mystery device, hopefully not specific enough that anyone will break NDA...

1. Can I plug in a keyboard, mouse and SVGA screen to it?
2. Eyetech mentioned that unless they find a customer to buy loads of units, no new Amiga systems are possible. Does the mystery device fall under this (ie we may never see it), or is there already a large customer (don't need to know who) lined up for it?

[Puts hand up]

Icons

[1] What's are your thoughs on an updated icon.library? More specifically, implementing something like PowerIcons more transparently so that, for example, the icons for monitor drivers can be png icons & still work. Beyond that, what's the feasability of having icon.library use a system that could support all manner of images as icons, .ico, vector images, .iff, .svg... etc (Possibly a plugin system for easy addition of new image types). For example, renaming a "X.ico" file to "X.info", icon.library catches the "X.info" file & displays it accordingly? Additionally, .ico files can have many sizes within the same file, this could open up the possibility of an 'icon prefs' program that could be used to set the size of icons, either globally, or individually (Say, within the Icon/Information window or a 'right-click' option on the icon).

Mods::: If I come up with more questions, should I edit this one or just add a new post?

FuZion.
