Very very nice site.

I'm very interested in the claims of hardware flexibility, does this mean Hyperion have been working and testing on boards other than the AmigaOne, do tell please.

@Smithy

Well, that's really your own fault, isn't it? I definitely get most of my spam from .com domains, but obviously they're all made up anyway.

.biz is often used for businesses. Hyperion uses it and AmigaOne.biz also uses it. Nothing wrong with that domain.

GREEEAT WORK BY A GOOD WEBDESIGN TEAM.......CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Thanks to all involved parties for this great site.....it's made with love!!

Things i missed from my first visit:

The banner says "remember when computing was fun". But my first impression is that the banner itself is kinda boring. It doesn't show computing as fun, but just looks slick and nice. The boingball is absolutely perfect, and the logo looks very nice too. The "remember when computing was fun" text should absolutely be more agressive, and the banner itself should be made with some nice graphics in the right side with smiling faces, icons, fun stuff, and the great slogan beneath, with glow effect around it. Text should be in black, with white glow around it. (perhaps someone here could do a mock-up of my ideas, im not good at this stuff)

A beautiful "click here to purchase OS4" button.

A beautiful and good looking menu

a better web adress

If these things gets fixed, this site absolutely rocks my amiga world.

Thanks again to the whole team for making such a beautiful site.......great work!!

#### yeah! Great site guys - will definitely have to keep an eye on that one, for when all the other fantastic information is added (hint: "Today we are pleased to announce the release of..." )

It all looks very professional, and the writing style is easy and casual without sounding like it's written by a teenager. The layout is nice and clean.

Love it

Edit: Python?? Woo - shame that I'm in the process of running out the door, as I need to read around a lot more!

Nice site Hyperion!!!

But please talk more about DefIcons and the fact, that AmigaOS is looking for the MIME Type of an file and not for the ending to open the right program (With Datatypes the one of the biggest advanteges over another Systems!!!)

Gets a thumbs up from me. I've started spreading the link to people who have
asked me about OS4 in the past.

Nice one Hyperion!

This is great news indeed, I feel like a have been waiting for ever for a site like this, and finally the wait is over. I am really looking forward to future that OS4 give us, and this site will do a long way toward generating a lot of excitement.

It is starting to feel like old times again, where there was a buzz in the air.

Has anybody thought about contacting any of the mainstream newsites yet? Like the register or the enquirer?

Fantastic work.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH HYPERION!!!!

Really well designed homepage, even works on old AMIGA browsers

I like the 20 reasons to have AOS!

But you mentioned AOS is for OEM too, does that mean other Amiga PPC computers are in the coming soon? (Amy'05, mystery device?)

OTOH you also mention special features of AOS like scrolling screens etc. and with the new site promoting AOS4 it looks like AOS4 final is imminent!!!!

Great work! Thx again!

We love you!

quote from the site

Quote:

AmigaOS4.0 scales comfortably from hand-held devices using the 4xx series of PowerPC processors to high-end 64-bit servers. A complete install of the Operating System and a full desktop-ready application suite will sit comfortably in 256MB, while a cut-down but fully functional version requires a mere 16MB. Another benefit of that historical legacy, the GUI and display drivers have been written to be equally scalable, suitable for low-colour quarter VGA screens up to the highest resolution true-colour high definition outputs.

As a PDA freak (use all kinds of PDA OS) I would really like to see AOS4 on a PPC PDA (see reference PPC PDA from IBM).

Or port it to teh upcoming Sony Ericsson P990i smartphone and I would be more than happy!

@SpotUp

I think what you're saying about AmigaOS now, makes you completely wrong!
The new site proves where AmigaOS is going and what have been done and
what WILL be done. All the answers are there! So i think YOU should ready
VERY carefully, and then you'll know i'm right, and most of us are..

Nothing to report yet. Remember, its just a website. Once OS4 goes gold, then we will have
news to announce.

If somebody comes with enough money to pay for the
port then they can/will do it.

Just my interpretation.

And also don't forget the plans for legacy
Amigas with PPC cards.

Yes, we did.

Thanks, that is about the only page that I wrote. It was originally meant as some sort of sample on what could be done, especially in the future, to make the site more interesting...
