Events   Events : Amiga North Thames usergroup needs YOU!
   posted by Mikey_C on 6-Apr-2006 8:26:42 (3636 reads)
Amiga North Thames is looking for an influx of new Amiga users.

If we don't get some new blood, then we will most likely have to go multi format.
(we know there are many Amiga users in the London and surrounding areas who don't attend)

Please come and join the last great 100% Amiga usergroup in the UK's South east
Visit http://www.amiganorththames.co.uk for details.

Our next meeting is: this Sunday, April 9th, Doors open. 13:00 to 17:00
Use it or lose it

I might well pop along with the current issue and some back issues of Total Amiga for sale

You get more people coming to your group than we have done to SEAL for a long time

Not now we have gone dual format, there were 20 plus at last two meetings (of which you were only at one)!

That's how I made broadband available in our Belgian Amigaclub... I made a "cantenna" out of a USBstick, cofeecan and aluminiumtape. Plugged it in my windowslaptop and found three unprotected wlan's .... some routers and everyone that wanted could go online. If you use a 54Mbit network and use 100Mbit routers you
hardly notice any slowdown's ... we even used the laptop for listening to STUDIOBRUSSELS , high quality streaming.

And now I am waiting for the 19dbi Yagi antenna that I ordered in Poland ... a little bandwidh more or less every now and then doesn't hurt anyone

here are pictures of the cantenna
