posted by Zettmaster on 17-Apr-2006 12:08:54 (5755 reads)
AWeb is now 3.5.08 =)

CHANGES FROM 3.5.07 to 3.5.08

AMISSL
AWeb now supports the new amissl.library version 3. Support for older versions has
been dropped. Amissl version 3 is more secure, faster, easier to install.
Amissl comes as part of OS4 from update 4 and is available for m68k systems from
http://www.heightanxiety.com/AmiSSL/ .

ALPHA BLENDING FOR awebpng.awebplugin.
The png plugin now supports alpha blending / alpha channel support on screen depths
greater than 8bits, for AmigaOS 4.0 and Morphos versions.
The Amiga OS 4 version uses the libablit written by Jürgen Schober.

ETAG

AWeb now supports the etag tecnique for cache validation.

OS4 MEMORY SYSTEM

The main executable has been adapted to abide by the new OS4 memory rules,
the awebplugins and aweblibs still misbehave.

GENERAL BUGFIXES

Many bug fixes dramatically increasing stabilty (touch wood).

Ah that's probably javascript related then, almost certainly not ssl. Javascript is "in progress"

It was just messages trying to get me to mount various things and Aweb also stopped displaying pictures.

Under AWeb browser settings/5_Viewers, do IMAGE/GIF, IMAGE/JPEG, and IMAGE/PNG
show "AWeb Plugin (A)" under "Action"?
If not perhaps you have lost your settings?

@Broadblues

Nice work as always Andy. Thanks!

This is awesome, and fast too! How can I donate to this worthy endeavour and to offer my support?

For wheelmouse problems here how to make it work.

1. Go to GUI Settings -> Keys

Check at 4 last rows or something for this lines.
If they arent there just make them. It worked for me.

Wheel up - SCROLL 80 UP TARGET %i
Wheel down - SCROLL 80 DOWN TARGET %i
shift wheel up - SCROLL PAGE UP TARGET %i
shift wheel down - SCROLL PAGE DOWN TARGET %i

Thats all. You can make your own.

@HMK

I have a little request for the next (3.5.09 ?) version

When i compose an URL (for example on Google) AWeb "force" me to use the mouse for sending my request, (IBrowse have this feature) i like to press enter on the keyboard instead ... i know this is a little thing but believe me this would increse the speed of the navigation

I don't know but the TAB working very well since 3.4 AFAIK

Another great feature would be the auto-completation of the URL, but maybe this is more difficult to implement ...

Bye
