A new fixed OS4/MOS version of the popular paint package PerfectPaint is

have you install the WOS-Version of the Jpeg.library ?
Delete it! and choose the 68k-Version.
An Assign "JPEGTMP: RAM(?):t" are also necessary for the jpeg.library

I noticed the "?".
You can add "assign:JPEGTMP RAM:t"
to user-startup

or

add to user-startup
"makedir RAM:[directory name of your choice]"
"assign:JPEGTMP RAM:[same directory name chosen above]

Hard disk assign is ok too, but if used often as a "work" directory, I think
assigning it to RAM: is preferable.

AWeb still uses this "legacy" assign, so it is wise to add it regardless, as
there appears to be no? complete list of apps that require this assign.

"ttengine.library" appears to be unavailable at the moment. That Polish site does not compute

I have a working link, but I feel it would be more proper for the author to post this.

@number6

Thanks for your advice.

i have only put the "?" while i not shure that other Users also wont an assign for jpgtmp to Ram:T.

Hmm, why does ttengine.library not allways available ?
i mean, many Software use it ? Why is it not listen in os4depot ? 68k and MOS are all listet in Aminet...

I was going to try this program but the amiforce.de link doesn't work.
Both yesterday and today I just get an error when I try the link.

All ARexx things of PfPaint don't work here (OS4).
If I select any ARexx draw mode nothing happens... And I'm really missing
loading several pictures as animation (this is also ARexx and does not work).

Anyone else? Or better a solution?

Ah, I am running 2.93-8 on my AmigaOne now and it is rock stable. My earlier problems was obviosly due to the graphics card. I used a Radeon 9100 and as you probably know Hyperion had some problems with the 3D drivers for that card. Obviously that included some things in 2D which was used by Perfect Paint as I no longer have a trace of those problems. I have recently installed a Radeon 9250 in my AmigaOne.

Thanks for the good work Blackbird.
