You don't recall correctly. Amiga Inc never *had* the source code to Amithlon in the first place. Funnily enough, neither did the self-styled "founder and developer of Amithlon" :)

And regardless, the "6 month update" clause refers to "target hardware", anyway, which is defined as PPC. So releasing something on x86, while probably the right thing to do for many other reasons, would not serve to fulfill that obligation.

Oh, then I stand corrected.

So, does that mean that OS5 would have to be released on PPC for the buyout clause to be invoked? Woah.

So could they then write some services they've been working on, to OS4 and call that OS5? Who knows if Intent/AA is still in the picture regarding a desktop OS at all. It may just be their portable play thing.

Ok. Going back to my happy place.
