My question is...what does a person do when he bought the version 1.9? Would he be able to upgrade for free or does the person have to pay for the new version as well?

I am very glad to see continued support and development of this fine application.

IMHO, Hollywood could very well be the single most important application that is left and still being developed for Amiga.

I agree 100000%

This is as close to Microsoft's .Net programming paradigm as we are going to get.

It is not a free update. There is a lot of functionalty added, so not just a bugfix release.

Try to look at http://www.airsoftsoftwair.de/en/order.html

Upgrade only Hollywood 1.9 to 2.5 is cost 49 euros.
IMHO it is a reasonable price for one of the most professional software package on Amiga.

I have Hollywood pack last 5 month. Amazing pack!!!
But my order will wait new version.
In my country BankTransfer cost about 50 euros more (Upgrade 59e + 50e BankTransfer=110e) , and I can't use PayPal.
That to much to pay every 5 month. Sorry, but I hard working whole month for about 700 euros.

@Condor

¤50 just for a bank transfer? That's so expensive! There's got to be a better way for you to pay. It's not fair if you have to pay almost double what everyone else pays. What about using a credit-card? It's sad that PayPal isn't available in your country.

@Condor

According to PayPal Worldwide you ARE able to set up a PayPal account in Croatia and send money to other PayPal users. However you cannot receive any money.

Simply attach your credit-card to your new PayPal account and there you go!

@Hans

Ok. I am ALL FOR a New SCALA clone for Amga or any new amazing Multimedia packages if we even get one at all. I am an Avid SCALA fan if you can't tell by my name

But from my many years in experience with the Amiga.......... SCALA was not Marketed correctly or even nearly enough. Even though it was a Superb package and a superb interface. All the others didnt even come close in ease of use.

One product comes to mind: The Director which was a scripting language.

In all seriousness............In todays time in the year 2007.........who wants to waste time writing scripts? Im not asking in a vulgar way.........I am just saying............its like selling BSD linux to a world of Windows Users and expecting them to understand how to understand UNIX.

I really really stress that you need to include both Packages as One Product! and then change the name. (im fine if you decide to keep it) its just that it implies something else.

But my main point is. Each package alone is practically useless to most people without the other.....and by most people I mean the common user.

Being that the Amiga community is so small........you want potentially every Amiga user to buy Hollywood.

Take for instance MediaPOINT.............a Really really really good competition to SCALA. but the Interface is so wacked out and crazy, that I cannot get into it comfortably even though I own a copy of the CD.........it turns me off really badly.

PowerPoint is another example of a horrible interface. People use it because its what the main industry uses because thats all they know.

we can learn alot from SCALA and MediaPOINT and even Can DO 3.0................ SCALA will always win between the 3 just because of the ease of use and how quickly and naturally one can put a presentation together.

Nevertheless I have high interests in Hollywood and Hollywood Designer.
